Now a days people just post about their daily lives through social media. Things like diary entries and news articles, (acts of physical expression) pretty much moved on to the Internet.
Jonathan Harris is a man who creates computer programs that process footprints. Not literal footprints but the traces people left behind on the Internet about themselves. The programs study the world's emotions and sometimes climate in the person's area. Then he draws conclusions from these footprints. For example, one of the programs is called "universe." And like the universe there are many stars. So on the computer you will see an infinite amount of stars that represent an event from an everyday human life. You use the cursor to scroll over the star and it will depict an event someone had with pictures.
This ted talk really made me think. You have no idea who is watching you and reading what you post. The good thing about these programs is that you can see society from their point of view. And most of it, is honest emotion. I like how he asks ''If we could make new constellations today what would those look like?'' Constellations tell stories so, it would be cool to have our stories portrayed in the sky.
If you are interested in the Internet and Web connections then I recommend watching this talk.
