Almost everyone has a cellphone. And we take for granted our advances in technology.
Jan Chipchase lives and also works in Tokyo, Japan. His job is to research human behaviors. This Ted talk is all about how, us humans reach out to technology. In order to do this, he travels all around the world. Even to the poorest and less advanced countries to study our behavioral patterns.
First, he starts off with the question " What do people carry?" In my mind, I said to myself: Phone, wallet, gum, etc... He went around asking people the same thing, and the top 3 things people said were " Keys, money, and mobile phones." These objects are crucial to our survival. It may not seem like it but they are. One of the most relatable things I got out of this video is when he explains that when we misplace one of these items instantly, we turn around and tap our pockets. Most commonly everyone does that. And that"s just one of the behavioral patterns he studies.
As humans there are many things we do without knowing it. And I find it fascinating to learn about our different behaviors. This video really touches about us and how we interact we technology itself. So I highly recommend this video.
